It may be the smallest and least densely populated region of Italy, but it's so culture rich being infused by traditions from its bordering France, Switzerland and Italy.
🏔️ Truly mountainous, this Alpine valley is the highest region of Italy... And it's home to Mont Blanc! (or Monte Bianco depending whether you wake up feeling more French or Italian), as well as Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and the Zermatt Matterhorn!
🏛️ The region's capital, Aosta, hosts 27% of its population within its Roman walls... Lots of fantastic Roman architecture still standing intact, with its theatre, forum Cryptoporticus, the Praetoria Gate and Augustus' arch.
🧵 Oh, and a super quaint high street lined with artisan shops showcasing the local craftsmanship and produce.
