Weddings at Lake Garda
Since setting up Weddings at Lake Garda I have planned well over 200 weddings which range from intimate affairs with just the couple (before micro weddings were a thing) to more elaborate celebrations on a private island or castle with guests from all over the world. Lake Garda offers so many possibilities in terms of wedding venues, locations and incredible views that there really is a solution for everyone.

Venue: Isola del Garda
Italy is renowned for its history, culture, architecture, amazing food, delicious wines and stunning scenery and you can find all of this on Lake Garda. I know from the experience of working with so many couples that what drew them to Lake Garda as they searched for the perfect destination for their wedding is the beautiful settings, views that never get tiring, the relaxed vibe that comes from being somewhere warm and sunny, in a place known for its excellent food and wine, all without actually having to travel too far from home. Flights are less than 2 hrs from the UK and the south of Lake Garda where I am based is easily accessible from Verona, Bergamo or Milan airports.
'Every couple should have the wedding they want'
Each resort has its own charm, somehow they all have a different vibe and style and they all offer a great range of accommodation. Lake Garda itself offers many different activities and things to see and do to keep your guests busy when they are not doing ‘wedding related’ activities. Advice to my couples is always to tell their guests to come for at least 5 days because my experience at their weddings, talking to guests, is that those who don’t stay longer all say ‘I wish I’d come for longer! I just didn’t know it would be like this’.
For the most part my couples are already in love with Italy and they are looking for a stunning backdrop for their wedding but also the opportunity, by choosing a destination wedding, to really put their own stamp on their wedding day. This shows up in different ways, for instance they may want to leave a few traditions behind because it’s not what they want for their wedding day or, because they are blending cultures and/or religions, they are searching for a neutral setting so that the guests expectations are shifted allowing a certain freedom to switch up how things will be done. I really do believe every couple should have the wedding that they want. On this day, of all days, they should be in charge of the decisions made and I am here to support them in making that happen.
